What are sick visits?

Sick visits are medical appointments that address new or worsening health symptoms or injuries. During these visits, your provider focuses on your acute issue, helping relieve your symptoms quickly.

At Brunswick Medical we  understand that illnesses and injuries are unpredictable, so our schedules are built to accommodate walk-ins. 

Should I schedule sick visits when I have a sore throat?

You should schedule a sick visit at Brunswick Medical if you have a sore throat that’s making it hard to eat or drink, is getting worse, or is causing a fever.

A sore throat is a common symptom of many acute health conditions, including the flu, the common cold, and strep throat. Knowing the cause of your throat pain ensures that you get the proper treatment so that you can start feeling better.

Along with a physical exam there may be a need for additional  lab services, like a throat swab, to confirm or rule out a diagnosis.

We will talk to you about about our findings, provide on-site treatments, and offer instructions on caring for your illness at home.

What happens after sick visits?
